Domestic and family violence
- Relationships Australia provides a range of services to assist those with violence and/or abuse issues in their relationships including family violence programs for perpetrators.
- 1800RESPECT provides a national telephone and online counselling, information and support service that be contacted 24/7 on 1800 737 732 or online.
- The National Carer Counselling Program (NCCP) provides short-term counselling and emotional and psychological support services for carers.
- MensLine Australia is a professional telephone and online support, information and referral service,that can be contacted 24 hours a day on 1300 78 99 78.
Carers
The national Carers Gateway is also available for carers seeking assistance and services through both a website or by calling 1800 422 737. Carers Australia is the peak body providing national services and advocacy for carers.
State based carer organisations can provide support and services to those people engaged in a carer role.
The National Carer Counselling Program (NCCP) provides short-term counselling and emotional and psychological support services for carers. Call the NCCP on 1800 242 636.
Gambling
Gambling Help provides access to online counselling and face to face specialist services. Contact 24 hours a day on 1800 858 858.
Sleep
The Australasian Sleep Association hosts a listing of sleep clinics and services across Australia. This website also has a range of information materials for clients and providers.
