Having an active lifestyle is not only good for your physical fitness, it's also important for your wellbeing and ability to manage stress. Physical activity boosts your mood, concentration and alertness. It also releases 'feel good' hormones called endorphins, leading to reduced stress and an increase in positive emotions. Being active even improves optimism, sleep and self-esteem.
