Use this tool to manage your physical reactions to stressful or difficult situations by gaining control of your breathing.

By slowing your breathing rate - the pace at which you breathe in and out - you can feel less stressed and more in control. A slowed breath rate (roughly 10 cycles per minute) can also help you manage racing thoughts and unpleasant emotions.

Note: controlled breathing is safe for most people. However, if you start feeling short of breath, dizzy or more nervous than when you started, adjust your breathing to a more comfortable pace. Alternatively, stop using the tool and go back to breathing normally.
